Natalia Vuori and Timo Vuori from the Insitute of Strategy won the Robert J. Litschert Best Doctoral Student Paper Award of the Business Policy and Strategy division for their paper titled “Mind the Way You Reflect: Causal Knowledge in Organizational Learning.”
Timo Vuori also won the Best Student Paper award of the Managerial and Organizational Cognition division for his paper “When Groups Agree whilst Disagreeing: Implicit and Explicit Mental Models in Group Cognition,” which he co-authored with UK Professors Mark P. Healey and Gerard P. Hodgkinson.
In addition, both Natalia Vuori and Timo Vuori won the Outstanding Student Reviewer Awards of the Managerial and Organizational Cognition division.
The Academy of Management meeting is the largest and the most important international conference in management research. The meeting was organized in San Antonio, Texas 12-16.8, 2011. A total number of 5704 papers were submitted to the conference, of which 2879 were accepted for presentation. The best doctoral student paper awards in this conference are among the highest international recognitions that doctoral students can receive in management research.
