Doctoral Candidate Positions at The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management of Aalto University
The department is seeking to hire Doctoral Candidates to new areas of research within the department’s three strategic focus areas: strategy and venturing, operations and service management, and entrepreneurial leadership.
The approximate timescale for completing the doctoral degree is 4 years. The employment and doctoral student admission decisions are made in May and the new doctoral students will start at latest in August 2018. The employment will be two years full-time for the first contract, which can be extended to cover the rest of the doctoral study. The maximum funding period is 4 years in total. Good command of English is a necessary prerequisite. The salary is competitive and the contract includes occupational health and social security benefits.

Three Postdoctoral positions in Industrial Engineering and Management
We are seeking to hire 3 postdoctoral scholars to the department’s strategic focus areas of strategy and venturing, operations and service management, and entrepreneurial leadership. The positions are fixed term for three years, with the opportunity to apply for other academic positions during or after the three-year period.
We support our postdoctoral researchers in conducting research of the highest standards, participating in guiding our doctoral students and teaching in our intriguing courses of strategy, entrepreneurship, operations management, or leadership. Our postdoctoral positions are planned to include one course of teaching per year, but the amount is negotiable. Most of our courses are taught by teams rather than by individual teachers.
